About Roller Banner 850x2000mm
Product specifications sourced from our UK print partners.
- Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK with all fonts outlined or embedded
- Build to the full panel size of 850 × 2100mm — the extra height rolls into the cassette
- Only the top 850 × 2000mm is visible; keep all key content inside that area
- Leave the bottom 100mm clear of logos and text — it disappears into the base
- Keep headlines above 1200mm from the floor so they sit at eye level
- Keep detail at least 30mm in from the left and right edges
- Use 150 DPI at final size (or 300 DPI at 50%); roller banners are viewed close up
- No bleed is required — supply at the exact panel size with no crop marks
- 440gsm blockout banner material
- Aluminium base cassette with telescopic pole
- Padded carry bag included
- 850mm wide × 2000mm tall visible print area
- Setup depth ~380mm
An 850mm roller banner is the standard UK exhibition width — wide enough to read from across a hall, narrow enough to fit a 1m stand allocation and to carry on a train.
The graphic rolls into an aluminium cassette base and takes about twenty seconds to set up. The single biggest design mistake is putting important content in the bottom 300mm, where it sits behind tables and delegates. Treat the lower third as decoration only.
Keep the top third to a single headline. People read a banner while walking past; anything that needs a pause has to be worth the pause.

Roller Banner 850x2000mm buying guide
Written by our studio team — what to choose, and what usually goes wrong.
- Correx 4mm — fluted plastic, very light, 1–2 years outdoors. Site boards, estate agent signs, event direction.
- PVC banner 440–510gsm — flexible, hemmed and eyeletted, ideal for fences, scaffolding and stands.
- Foamex 5mm — smooth rigid PVC, 3–5 years outdoors, excellent indoors. The default for shop and office signage.
- Aluminium composite (Dibond-type) — two aluminium skins over a polyethylene core. The most rigid and longest-lasting option, 5+ years.
