Don’t worry if you’re not sure about your artwork
We check every file before it goes to print. If we spot something that could affect the finished result, we’ll review it and help you get it sorted wherever we can. We won’t send artwork to production if we think there’s a problem.
For the best print result, please prepare your file using these product-specific guidelines:
- Vector artwork only — AI, EPS or vector PDF with fonts outlined
- The design must be a single-colour, 100% solid shape; the laser reads shapes, not colours
- No gradients, halftones or photographs — engraving is one tone only
- Keep strokes above 0.75pt and type above 6pt so detail survives on metal or wood
- The engraved mark is the natural colour of the substrate beneath the finish, not your brand colour
- Build to the exact engraving area for the item; it is confirmed on your proof
