About Stone Laser Engraved Pens

Product specifications sourced from our UK print partners.

  • Vector artwork only — AI, EPS or vector PDF with fonts outlined
  • The design must be a single-colour, 100% solid shape; the laser reads shapes, not colours
  • No gradients, halftones or photographs — engraving is one tone only
  • Keep strokes above 0.75pt and type above 6pt so detail survives on metal or wood
  • The engraved mark is the natural colour of the substrate beneath the finish, not your brand colour
  • Build to the exact engraving area for the item; it is confirmed on your proof

  • Metal barrel in a solid colour with aluminium detailing
  • Click-action mechanism
  • Blue ink refill

  • Laser engraving area: 40 × 6mm on the barrel
  • Engraving exposes the bright metal beneath the coloured coating

The Stone has a cleaner, more understated look than a typical giveaway pen, making it suitable for slightly more formal settings such as conferences, training days and client meetings.

It is a good middle option when a basic pen feels too throwaway but a fully engraved premium pen is not needed for the occasion.

Stone Laser Engraved Pens buying guide

Written by our studio team — what to choose, and what usually goes wrong.

  • Desk items (mugs, mats, notebooks) give the longest exposure to a single person — best for clients and staff.
  • Carry items (totes, bottles, umbrellas) travel, so they reach a wider audience — best for events and trade shows.
  • Giveaways (pens, badges, wristbands) are volume plays; price per contact matters more than perceived value.
