Don’t worry if you’re not sure about your artwork
We check every file before it goes to print. If we spot something that could affect the finished result, we’ll review it and help you get it sorted wherever we can. We won’t send artwork to production if we think there’s a problem.
For the best print result, please prepare your file using these product-specific guidelines:
- Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK with all fonts outlined or embedded
- Supply each panel separately and clearly named — roof, valance and wall panels are different shapes
- Add 30mm bleed on all four edges of every panel; the canopy tensions over the frame
- Keep logos and text at least 80mm inside the trim
- Supply at 25% of final size at 300 DPI, or 100% at 75–100 DPI
- Never run a logo across two roof panels — seams cannot be aligned reliably
- Put your primary logo and web address on the valance; it sits at eye level
- Email studio@boultondigital.uk for the layered dieline before you start

- Correx 4mm — fluted plastic, very light, 1–2 years outdoors. Site boards, estate agent signs, event direction.
- PVC banner 440–510gsm — flexible, hemmed and eyeletted, ideal for fences, scaffolding and stands.
- Foamex 5mm — smooth rigid PVC, 3–5 years outdoors, excellent indoors. The default for shop and office signage.
- Aluminium composite (Dibond-type) — two aluminium skins over a polyethylene core. The most rigid and longest-lasting option, 5+ years.
