- Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK with all fonts outlined or embedded
- Build at the finished size with 3mm bleed on every edge
- Keep text and logos 10mm inside the trim
- 150 DPI at final size is fine for posters viewed from a distance; use 300 DPI for A3 and smaller
- Avoid enlarging web images — check the physical size with our print size estimator first
- RGB files are converted to CMYK for press, which can shift bright blues, greens and oranges

A2 is the step up from A3 that gets noticed from across a room or from the pavement. It is the usual size for event promotion, gig posters and in-store campaigns.
Design for distance: a headline readable at three metres, an image that works at a glance, and the detail small at the bottom for people who have already stopped walking.

- A6 — pocket and handout size. Cheapest per unit, best for door drops and event flyering.
- A5 — the workhorse. Enough room for an offer plus a small amount of detail; still cheap to post.
- A4 — menus, price lists and anything with a table or lots of copy.
- DL (99 x 210mm) — fits a standard envelope and a leaflet rack, ideal for direct mail.
