Don’t worry if you’re not sure about your artwork
We check every file before it goes to print. If we spot something that could affect the finished result, we’ll review it and help you get it sorted wherever we can. We won’t send artwork to production if we think there’s a problem.
For the best print result, please prepare your file using these product-specific guidelines:
- Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK with all fonts outlined or embedded
- Build the file at the finished trim size with 3mm bleed on every edge
- Keep text, logos and borders at least 5mm inside the trim
- Supply all images at 300 DPI at final size — screen-resolution images (72 DPI) will print soft
- Single pages please, no crop marks or printer's marks inside the artwork area
- Use rich black (C40 M30 Y30 K100) for large solid black areas; 100% K alone looks grey
- RGB files are converted to CMYK for press, which can shift bright blues, greens and oranges
- Hairline rules should be at least 0.25pt so they hold on press

- 100–120gsm uncoated — the standard for letterheads and compliment slips. Feels like proper business paper and overprints cleanly.
- Avoid coated or laminated stock for anything you will run through an office printer; toner does not key to it.
- Match your letterhead, compliment slip and envelope stock so the set feels deliberate.
