The Softstyle 64000 is Gildan's fashion-fit tee: a lighter 153gsm ring-spun cotton with a noticeably softer handle and a slimmer body than the Heavy Cotton 5000.
It is the right choice when people will actually wear the shirt off-duty — merchandise, hospitality front-of-house, brand tees and anything sold rather than handed out. The finer yarn also gives DTG printing a sharper, less textured result.
The trade-off is durability: it is a lighter cloth, so for high-wear work environments the 5000 will last longer.
