About Folded Business Cards 400gsm
Product specifications sourced from our UK print partners.
- Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK with all fonts outlined or embedded
- Build each panel to the finished flat size with 3mm bleed all round
- Keep text and logos 5mm inside the trim and 5mm clear of every fold line
- Supply the outside and inside as two separate pages in one PDF, both the same orientation
- Do not draw fold lines on the artwork — tell us the fold type in your order notes
- Allow for creep on roll folds: the inner panel is 2–3mm narrower than the outer panels
- 300 DPI images at final size, rich black (C40 M30 Y30 K100) for large solid areas
- 400gsm silk board, matt laminated both sides
- Machine creased and folded so the fibres don't crack
- 110 × 85mm flat, folding to 55 × 85mm
- Four printable panels (outer front/back, inner spread)
A folded card gives you four printable panels instead of two, which turns a contact card into a miniature brochure — a price list, a treatment menu, an appointment card or a map on the inside.
Printed on 400gsm and creased before folding so the spine stays crisp rather than cracking. Worth ordering when you need to say more than a standard card allows but do not want to hand out a leaflet.
- Full colour both sides
- 350gsm minimum

Folded Business Cards 400gsm buying guide
Written by our studio team — what to choose, and what usually goes wrong.
Weight is measured in gsm (grams per square metre) and it is the single biggest factor in how a card feels.
- 350gsm — the practical minimum for a professional card. Sturdy, economical, ideal for high-volume handouts.
- 400gsm — noticeably more substantial. The usual choice when the card is doing premium work.
- 450gsm and above — specialist and folded cards, where rigidity matters.
